Active members of the State Bar of Texas must complete a minimum of 15 hours of accredited Continuing Legal Education for every compliance year. Three hours are on courses related to Legal Ethics or Professional Responsibility, while 12 hours must be on accredited CLE courses.
Texas State Bar members can receive accredited Continuing Legal Credit or CLE through MCLE-approved activities. The courses may be in the form of live presentations, approved CLE programs including podcasts, recorded courses on DVD or CD, or pre-recorded online CLE courses.
